BDMS was founded by Dr. Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth and established on October 30, 1969, under the name Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Company Limited. Bangkok Hospital began operations on February 26, 1972. The company was later listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on October 2, 1991, and converted into a public company in 1994. BDMS invested in Royal Phnom Penh Hospital through its subsidiary Phnom Penh Medical Services (PPMS). Royal Phnom Penh Hospital officially began operations on October 1, 2014, and has since developed into one of Cambodia’s leading private international healthcare providers, offering high-quality medical care supported by regional expertise and international healthcare standards.
